Southern Brave captain James Vince scored an unbeaten 90, leading his team to a 32-run victory over Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred's men's competition.
James Vince's stylish innings included six sixes and six fours, helping Southern Brave post a commanding total of 169-2 at Edgbaston. He formed an 81-run opening stand with Alex Davies (30) and an unbeaten 68-run partnership with Kieron Pollard, who scored 38 not out.
Birmingham Phoenix's bowlers struggled to penetrate Brave's top order, with Benny Howell and Sean Abbott each taking just one wicket. In contrast, Brave's bowlers excelled: Chris Jordan took 3-19, Akeal Hosein 3-23, and Tymal Mills 2-21.
Ben Duckett was the only Phoenix batter to pose a significant threat. Chasing a steep target, he attempted to become the competition's fourth centurion in the final five balls but was caught at fine leg off Jordan's delivery for 92.
