Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva progressed into the last 16 at the Madrid Open.

Russian teenager sensation Mirra Andreeva continued her impressive performance and advanced into the last 16 of the Madrid Open after cruising past Poland's Magda Linette.

Mirra Andreeva comfortably smashed out Pole Magda Linette, the No 17 seed by 6-3, 6-3 in the third round of the Madrid Open at the Caja Magica.

The world No 194 celebrated her 16th birthday with another brilliant performance and will face Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next.
