NBA MVP Talk: Denver Nuggets' Christian Braun Insists Nikola Jokic Deserves the Title of 'Best in the World'.

Christian Braun, a player for the Denver Nuggets, strongly believes that his teammate Nikola Jokic should be awarded the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP) title for the 2023/24 season.

Nikola Jokic is having an exceptional season, averaging 26.1 points, 12.2 rebounds, and nine assists per game. The Denver Nuggets, who won their first NBA title last season, currently lead the Western Conference standings.

According to Christian Braun of the Nuggets, Jokic is undeniably the best player globally. Jokic, a Serbian star aged 29, has previously won the MVP award twice, in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, before Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers claimed it last year.

Jokic's performance this season has been outstanding, making him the NBA's most efficient player statistically. He was also honored with the Western Conference's player of the month award for October and November.

Braun emphasized that Jokic's consistent excellence and hard work make him deserving of the MVP title this season, echoing the sentiments of many who recognize Jokic's talent and impact on the court.

Christian Braun is in his second year in the NBA, having won the championship with the Denver Nuggets last season. Before that, he secured the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) title with Kansas, making him just the fifth player in NBA history to win both the NCAA and NBA championships in consecutive years.

Now 22 years old, Braun aims to become only the second player to achieve NCAA and two consecutive NBA titles in three straight years by the end of this season.

"My goal is to win another championship even more than I wanted the last one," Braun expressed. "I'm highly motivated right now, and I believe our team is in a great position being the top seed. Mentally, we're also in a good place."

Braun is confident in the Nuggets' ability to go back-to-back, emphasizing the importance of key players like Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. He believes that the team's hunger, drive, and motivation to win, coupled with good health, make them capable of defeating any opponent.

The Nuggets will play their final nine regular-season games starting this weekend. They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday at 01:00 GMT, followed by a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday at 20:30 GMT.
