Russia's young sensation, Mirra Andreeva continues her impressive debut run in the ongoing Madrid Open as she edge past world number 14 Beatriz Haddad Maia.

Wildcard Mirra Andreeva displayed a sensational performance and smashed out Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 13 seed, by 7-6 (6), 6-3 in the second round and stormed into the third round of the Madrid Open at the Caja Magica.

Andreeva, ranked No 194, will face the winner of the match between Czech qualifier Marketa Vondrousova and Pole Magda Linette, the No 17 seed, next.
