Jokic Shines with 35 Points as Denver Nuggets Outlast Minnesota Timberwolves in NBA Clash.

Nikola Jokic had a standout performance, scoring 35 points and grabbing 16 rebounds to lead the Denver Nuggets to a hard-fought 115-112 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA.

Despite a late surge from the Timberwolves, the Nuggets held on to secure the win, with Jokic's stellar play proving to be decisive in the closely contested game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves staged an impressive comeback, erasing an 18-point deficit in just 12 minutes to take a narrow 84-82 lead over the Denver Nuggets in the third quarter.

However, Denver regained control in the fourth quarter, eventually securing a 115-112 victory. The game came down to the wire, with Anthony Edwards missing a crucial three-pointer that could have forced overtime.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone emphasized the importance of closing out games, acknowledging that his team needs to improve in that aspect. He also credited a late tactical adjustment that limited Anthony Edwards' impact in the final quarter, preventing him from adding to his impressive 30-point performance earlier in the game.

"We threw an extra body at him," Malone explained. "One guy trying to guard Anthony Edwards is a challenge for anyone in the NBA, so we started throwing bodies at him to get the ball out of his hands."

The win at the Target Center in Minneapolis propelled the defending NBA champions Denver Nuggets into second place in the Western Conference standings, just behind the Oklahoma City Thunder.
