Grant Bradburn has been appointed as Pakistan's men's head coach for the next two years.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially appointed former New Zealand player Grant Bradburn as head coach of their men's national cricket team for the next two years after he served on an interim basis.

Grant Bradburn will be the head coach of the team in the Asia Cup 2023, the ODI World Cup 2023, and the T20 World Cup 2024.

The 56-year-old, who played seven Tests and 11 ODIs for New Zealand, will be working under Mickey Arthur, who was appointed team director in March.

Grant Bradburn expressed delight with the appointment as the head coach and said that he would try to create a winning culture in the Pakistan team with the support of Team Director Mickey Arthur.

Grant Bradburn had held the position on a consultancy basis during Pakistan's recent home series against New Zealand as well.

Former South Africa cricketer Andrew Puttick has also signed a two-year contract as the batting coach. Strength and conditioning coach Drikus Saaiman and physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon will continue in their roles.

Bradburn had previously served as the fielding coach of the side, from 2018 to 2020, before moving to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Before that, he was the head coach of Scotland.
