BBC received complete audio rights of the upcoming 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.

The BBC, the UK's public-service broadcaster has officially acquired the complete audio rights to this year's Rugby World Cup in France.

Every match of rugby union's showpiece tournament will be live across the BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds channels, and will be heard via the BBC Sport website and app.

The BBC held exclusive audio rights to the 2015 Rugby World Cup on home soil and the 2019 edition in Japan and covers the Six Nations rugby union championship in a four-year deal to 2025.

The prestigious tournament will start on 8th September (Friday) at Stade de France. The opening match will be between New Zealand and the host nation.
